We’ve all done it at one point or another: we’ve set up a new website, added a few images and a few links, and it works!
But how can we do this from the comfort of our desktop?
ODoo lets you easily set up your website in a single click.
With ODoo, it’s really simple.
So grab your favorite editor, grab a few text files, and hit the link button.
The first thing you’ll see is a menu, where you can enter your desired URL.
If you click “Add,” you’ll be taken to the editor’s page.
Here, you’ll select an existing domain, and you can set the name and format for the website, or you can create your own domain, as we’ve done.
Once you’ve selected your domain, you can start setting up the website.
Here’s how to get started: 1.
Find a domain name you want to use for your website.
You can find a list of available domains at ODoo’s Domain Manager page.
Choose your URL.
For this tutorial, we’re going to use “test” for our website.
That’s because the site’s name starts with “test.”
Choose the file extension you want.
ODoo will automatically choose the right one for your site.
Now you can see your website, and navigate to your new domain.
If all goes well, you should see your newly created domain name on your home page.
The next step is to get some basic documentation up and running.
Here are some quick steps to get the site up and going: 1 .
Find out where you’re at with the site.
Select your domain name, and click the Start New Page button.
You’ll be directed to your domain manager’s website page.
You will need to login to your ODoo account.
Open the “Domain Manager” page.
Click “New Domain.”
You’ll see your new site, and an option to select your Domain Name.
You have several options to choose from, and they’re as follows: Choose a new domain name to add to your site Choose the new domain’s name Choose your domain’s format Choose your Domain’s domain name’s description Choose your default URL, e.g. “test.org.”
Choose the domain you want for the site, or add another domain.
This is where the fun starts.
You’re going a little deeper than that.
When you select a domain, it’ll be listed in the “Domains” tab of your Domain Manager.
If the domain is already selected, you will be redirected to your Domain Details page.
From there, you just click on the Domain Name you want, and select your domain from the dropdown menu.
The domain you choose will be added to your website with no additional effort on your part.
It’s just a matter of selecting it, and then clicking the “Create” button.
Now, we’ll go ahead and install our domain.
Open the file explorer and navigate the directory to where you extracted your files.
Select the file we just created and hit “Open.”
Your domain will now be added as a new site on your website’s home page!
If you need to set up some settings, you’re going get them from the “Advanced Options” section of your domain details page.
Open “Domain Details” again, and add the “Site Properties” section.
Here you’ll find several settings you can change.
You may need to update some details or add some new ones.
When it’s all done, you may need an additional browser to view your website now.
If this is your first time using ODoo for anything, we strongly recommend taking it slow and using it with caution.
