Google’s new WebKit-based WebKit browser is now available for Windows 10, Chrome OS, and Linux.
But it’s not the first browser to use WebKit.
Back in the day, it was Microsoft’s WebKit, which was ported to the X11 standard and is now the default browser on Windows, Mac, and Android.
But the port of WebKit to Windows didn’t quite work out as hoped, and Microsoft pulled it from the Windows Store.
Now, though, it seems WebKit is back in the browser fold, as it’s finally making its way to Windows 10.
The new Webkit has a brand new UI, new features, and some bug fixes.
